Born in rural Northwest Lancashire, I was inspired by the ever changing countryside that surrounded me.
Since moving to south London, I have specialised in teaching ‘art as therapy’, to people with disabilities and/or sensory impairment.
I have recently returned to creating my own art with nature as my main inspiration. Whilst travelling by car, train, running or walking, I have used photography, sketches and my memory to capture the transient images. I then transfer the feelings and images of the passing countryside in a naturalistic yet expressive manner onto canvas. My own ‘Art as therapy’.
